Soben also offers a hydraulic load compensation system, enabling the spring preload to be adjusted via an on-board mini control unit. This system enables the height of the vehicle to be adjusted in real time to :
- automatically compensate for load variations
- modify ground clearance at high speeds or when negotiating obstacles
- facilitate passenger access to the vehicle
Intelligent shock absorbers for safe, dynamic driving.
Soben also designs shock absorbers incorporating electronics to improve adaptability and real-time control :
- Controlled dampers: with dual damping laws, they allow the driver to choose a comfort mode or a firmer mode from the dashboard, depending on driving conditions.
- Semi-active dampers: their damping law adjusts automatically and continuously according to data collected on the road. Soben technology can be fitted with a single-valve or dual-valve system, allowing independent management of the compression and rebound phases.
These electronic systems are perfectly compatible with the hydraulic bump stops developed by Soben, which enhance the safety and comfort of the vehicle in extreme situations.
Shock absorbers with increased dissipation capacity.
Soben has developed hydraulic bump stop (compression) and double-acting hydraulic stop (compression and rebound), which can be fitted as standard in our shock absorbers.
The hydraulic bump stop developed by Soben react to both the speed of the impact and the position of the wheel in relation to the chassis. This purely mechanical system generates an energy dissipation force that increases progressively as the shock absorber nears the end of its stroke. The result : controlled absorption of extreme shocks, for enhanced comfort and safety in all conditions.
